Judy Hogg – Celtic Rhythm Dancers

I have been teaching dance in the Cowichan Valley for approximately 30 years and I love teaching dance.

I am a Member of the British Association of Highland Dance and Associate Member of the Scottish Dance Teachers Alliance as well as a Professional Member of Scotdance Canada and a member of our local Cowichan Folk Guild.

I currently teach:

  • Competitive Highland and Scottish National dance including exam preparation up to and including Professional levels.
  • Non-competitive Highland and Scottish National dance
  • Non-competitive Celtic (Irish style) dance
  • Dance workshops for schools / groups

My Highland Dancers have successfully competed throughout Canada, the United States and Scotland and have frequent local performances.

Shows for all dancers in the studio are staged 3 times per year at the Cowichan Theatre including Robbie Burn’s Day in January, St. Patrick’s Day in March and our year end recital “Celtic Rhythms” at the end of May. Shows include Traditional Scottish, Highland and Irish dance along with our well known “Contemporary Highland and Irish” choreography.

“To dance is to be in tune with the steps of life”.
