COWICHAN VALLEY HIGHLAND DANCE ASSOCIATION

The Cowichan Valley Highland Dance Association is a society which acts to support highland dancers, their families, highland dance schools and their teachers, by fostering and perpetuating Highland Dancing.

To do this, the CVHDA (which began in 1982 and incorporated as an association in 1985), sponsors and organizes 2 competitions annually. At these two competitions, our CVHDA members are eligible for “Confined” trophies. A Confined trophy is a trophy that is available only to a specified group. The Confined trophies we offer at our competitions are confined to members of the CVHDA only.

The CVHDA also offers dance workshops, education bursaries and travel assistance to its dancers.

If you live in the Cowichan Valley and/or have a dancer who attends regular dance classes with one of the two dance studios, Judy Hogg’s Celtic Rhythm Dancers or Kathy White School of Dance, then you can become a member.

Please join the CVHDA and help keep highland dancing strong in the Cowichan Valley.
